If you’ve been following us on social (find us on Facebook and Instagram), you may have recently seen that we just opened a new office in the metro area of Dallas, Texas (follow our Dallas Facebook page too). It has been an exciting and busy time getting this office open, but we are thrilled and ready to roll. A question we’ve been asked about this new phase of Prudent Accountants is, why Dallas?In 2017, we began initial conversations internally about expanding beyond Minnesota.We started scouting multiple cities and states at that time. Ultimately, we landed in Dallas. There were a multitude of reasons, but one of the biggest was that Dallas is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States and has easy connections for travel with Minneapolis. To ensure the success of the expansion, we needed a partner level leader willing to relocate to Dallas.Asking our staff to move required considerations of them and their family, and a large part of that consideration was the success of school systems.The nice weather was another bonus.So what sets Dallas apart from Minneapolis, other than the obvious answers of great steaks and weather? The new influx of successful entrepreneurs that have also relocated there bring a lot of excitement to the growth and development of the city.Once we’d settled on Frisco in the metro area, we knew we needed to maintain the standards and expectations we’ve established here with our office. We were named the coolest accounting office in Minneapolis by the Business Journal and have a fun working environment. We wanted to replicate that, so naturally we settled on joining the Cowboys Star Center at the home of the Dallas Cowboys. (We’re being honest here, the Dallas office is pretty impressive in terms of amenities!)With an office in place, it is time to drive the business home.
We take pride in delivering excellent client experience at a very good price point. That’s our mantra at Minneapolis. When people search for accountants and tax support in Minneapolis, we are the first ones you’ll find. We would like to repeat that success in Dallas. As we grow Dallas, it will allow us to continue the expansion of Prudent to other areas of the country. We really are just getting started.The thing that sets us apart from other accounting firms, particularly the large ones, are that we carry the same skill sets as the major firms, but the client experience and pricing of a small firm. We believe that being an affordable firm to clients of all sizes ensures that the same quality and professional one expects is met and exceeded. We’ve got CPAs to EAs with Masters in Taxation on staff and we have international experience that suits us for not just local businesses, but global business as well.With all those skills and tools in our pocket, we were ready to tackle Dallas, and soon other markets.
